A man once wrote, "Humility! The sweetest, loveliest flower that bloomed in Eden, and the first that died, has rarely blossomed since on mortal soil. It is so frail, so delicate a thing, 'tis gone if it but look upon itself; and he who ventures to esteem it proves by that single thought he has it not."
Godly humility can only be evidenced as a sinner who knows his sinfulness, depravity, and impotence, looks to Christ, rests in His power and glory, His finished work alone, for all salvation. False humility will always lead sinners elsewhere, somewhere other than Christ and Him crucified, for salvation, relief, rest, and peace.
