“Therefore seeing we have THIS MINISTRY, as we have received mercy, we faint not.”
(2 Corinthians 4:1)
We who have been saved by the grace of God have the greatest responsibility. We have "this ministry", the ministry of the Gospel of God’s grace in Christ Jesus.
This is a ministry of salvation as we tell sinners of God’s grace so as to show them the glory of Christ’s Person (God and man) and the value of His atoning blood and righteousness to secure the salvation of all who believe in Him.
It is the only ministry that will expose to lost sinners their sinfulness and depravity, even the sinfulness of their best deeds, so as to bring them to repentance.
It is the ministry of edification designed to establish the hearts of saved sinners with grace and encourage us in the service and worship of God and in the love and service to each other.
What a ministry this sir's not faint, give up, and let’s not take it for granted.
