A SHORT STUDY OF PSALM 18:46

"The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted."
(Psalm 18:46)

The gracious words of our text set forth the glorious Person of our Lord Jesus Christ, concerning whom the Apostle says, as it can be said of no other, that He is "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to-day, and for ever" (Hebrews 13:8).

All things in nature and in providence change. The feelings and exercises of the Christian mind are ever numerous and changing. But whatever takes place in nations, in churches, in families, or in the feelings of our minds, "the LORD liveth; and blessed be our rock," (the Rock of Ages, for He never moves!) "and let the God of my salvation be exalted."

By John Kershaw - London, 1848.
